About Josu Cabrero Tenor
Born in Leioa (Bizkaia). He obtained the title of Primary Teaching in Music Education and later the Grado in Primary Education, from the University of Burgos. She has the titles of Professional Singing, from the Rafael Frühbeck Conservatory of Burgos, Superior Singing, from the Musikene Conservatory of Donostia (Gipuzkoa) and Professional Piano Degree, from the Francisco Escudero Conservatory of Donostia (Gipuzkoa). He has received singing lessons from Salvador Fernández, Ana Luisa Chova, David Menéndez, Jorge Elías, Eduardo López Banzo, Jeremy Aye, Lawrence Brownlee, Maciej Pikulski, Ana Mª Sánchez, Carlos Mena, etc. He has participated in a master class with Javier Camarena.
He has performed at numerous events, such as the Inauguration Gala of the Burgos Evolution Forum, with the presence of Her Majesty Queen Sofía, at the Bilbao Society, etc. He has represented various characters in operatic and musical performances, such as Don Basilio and Don Curzio in the Marriage of Figaro Opera (Teatro de los Estamentos, in Prague), Zio Yakusidé and choir in the opera Madama Butterfly (Kursaal, in Donostia), Monostatos, Armed Man and Priest in The Magic Flute Opera (Kursaal, in Donostia), Sailor and Choir in Dido & Aeneas (Arriaga Theatre, in Bilbao), Spalanzani and Nathanael in Hoffman's Tales (ABAO, in Bilbao), The Tenor in Bost Axola Flat (ABAO Txiki, in Bilbao) etc. He has performed as solo tenor in multiple concerts: Magnificat by Monteverdi (Deba, Gipuzkoa), Membra Jesu Nostri by Buxtehude (Lekeitio, Bizkaia), Messiah by Händel (Beasain, Gipuzkoa, and Barakaldo, Bizkaia), Winterreise by Schubert (Festival Palace of Santander), etc. Likewise, he has performed numerous recitals.
